This series of works is based on a found open garden of wildflowers. After several days of visits and then photographs the series evolved in the artist’s studio. With a combination of soft painting techniques, charcoal drawings and layering of color, the paintings of the wildflower collection evoke pure joy. There is a buzz of conversation going on within the forms. As honest feelings are shared and love is expressed, these gardens grow and grow. In celebration of the experiencing of natures wonders, the Wildflower Collection of paintings derives its colors and energy from the ethereal garden we experience tangibly and the emotional gardens we grow when we send love into the world and simply take time to listen to each other and enjoy.
