This collection was created with a contemporary and fresh color palette and reflects a modern day synergy based on the works of Alexander Calder’s sculptures and mobiles. Utilizing pure forms mixed with Joan elan Davis’ unexpected damask palette in black and white , the images take on a life of their own. Breezes come in softly through windows, raindrops hang from strings, tables, lamps and vases of flowers are set in interiors designed for expected guests. In others, hand cut flowers float above a rich silver grey ground. The Silver Floral painting collection offers a smooth surface printed with rich oil based inks on museum quality paper yet ingeniously appear as carefully hand placed collages.
