Artist Joan Elan Davis has moved her studio to SFDC’s
Garden Court building (across the street from the
Showplace). There she is exhibiting canvasses large and
small, works on paper, oils and monotypes. She is known
for taking tiny natural elements and expanding them in
grand proportions, like her series of “power flowers” or
her group of black-and-white India ink drawings that
study the flow of water stopped in the moment. Davis
chose SFDC for her studio and gallery because she
particularly enjoys working with designers. “Designers
are creative people who enjoy working with color and
style,” comments Davis, a firm believer in creating a
beautiful home. “Great creativity goes into designing a
home. It’s a real pleasure to be part of that process.”
